Castle Villandry is a castle of the Loire Renaissance architecture
Villandry, built around 1536, is the last of the great castles built on the banks of the Loire in the Renaissance. To make it edify, Jean le Breton, Minister of Finance of François 1ier, makes shave a fortress of the XIIè century whose only remains today the foundations and the dungeon.
It will be necessary to wait for the beginning of the XXth century, and the new owner of the castle Joachim Carvallo, to admire the Renaissance gardens completely restored.
