Yosemite National Park, one of the oldest nature reserves in the United States

Merced, known as “Gateway to Yosemite”, is less than a 2-hour drive from Yosemite National Park, following the legendary Highway 140 (1926 road).
Named National Park in the nineteenth century (shortly after that of Yellowstone), Yosemite, located in the center of Sierra Nevada in eastern California. Paradise outdoor sports enthusiasts (hiking, cross-country skiing, rafting, camping), the park is mainly known for its waterfalls (9 in total of which 5 are more than 300 m high, the water fall Yosemite falls 740 meters !!!), its impressive giant redwood forest, Mono Lake with its unusual deposits of limestone and the ghost town of Bodie.
If you are reckless, go to meet the black bear, emblematic animal of the park.
You must know that more than 3 million tourists visit the park each year.
